Incident Reconstruction/Animation

Animation, (ie. biological samples, product liability, crime scene reconstruction, construction, fire, explosion, patent infringement, nautical, railroad, flood etc.,) particularly computer animation is playing an ever increasing role in making complex accident sequences and trials more understandable to juries and, perhaps just as important, to opposing counsel. Animations used in litigation generally falls into one of about three categories: Tutorials which seek to explain physical laws, natural phenomena, etc. Next are illustrations of expert opinion and lastly simulations which reenact events based on assumptions and scientific data surrounding the incident. Cowan Consulting, LC primarily focuses on using these simulations as visual aids to ensure that they are admissible at trial. In essence, these animations serve as a valuable tool in litigation, because they explain complex subject matter visually.
